There are so many reasons why I am very fond of this couple! For starters Jemma introduced me to Bailies and Hot Chocolate on the day of their engagement session and I have to tell you, there were quite a few occasions over christmas when this drink was introduced on a cold winters night! Plus Jemma is just as bad at telling her left from her right as I am ;) Gary is also a huge fan of Band of Brothers and as soon as I discovered this I knew we'd get on perfectly!
Jemma and Gary's wedding will be a very memorable one for lots of different reasons! Thankfully all those memories are lovely ones, apart from one which was beyond anyone's control! Unfortunately two days before their wedding I caught the horrible flu bug that was going around so I was given strict instructions to go back to bed and I was given hot whisky in an effort to rid myself entirely of the flu before the 29th. I woke up on the morning of their wedding day to find myself a lovely shade of green, but I have to say, adrenaline has a lovely way of kicking in just when you need it to! ;)
I arrived at Jemma's house in time to photograph the girls all getting ready and to witness a surprise phonecall from Jemma's fiance, Gary. Both were entirely shocked that they had got the chance to speak to each other as Gary had rung not expecting Jemma to answer and Jemma had answered, not expecting Gary to call! Don't you love it when that happens!
After saying goodbye to the girls I headed to St Gall's Church in Carnalea to meet the boys of the bridal party. The day itself was freezing so the boys were wisely staying in doors and keeping warm. The church itself was stunning with a big beautiful christmas tree in the corner of the church and to make the service itself completely magic, Jemma and Gary had decided that they wanted the church to be lit with candle light and the effect was just beautiful! I was a bit nervous beforehand because the photography of the ceremony itself was to be strictly limited to the back of the church, but I have to say my worries were unfounded, as I am delighted with the shots of the ceremony.
Thank you so much for braving the cold with me as it really was absolutely freezing, but you did fantastic!
Lots of love and luck for the future ahead! xo

Oh I love the shot with her boots!! Way to be a trooper and photograph amidst the flu...I have yet to have that happen to me...knock on wood :)
I felt it for about two weeks afterward but yes, I'm delighted with the results! The boots were my welly boots that I was given as a christmas present, and when we arrived at the location we pounced on her and had her shoes pulled off and my welly boots put in place to make sure no damage was done to her shoes in the mud ;)
