Where on earth do I start??!! I reckon the beginning is the very best place!
September 2008 I held a competition at The Wedding Show at the Kings Hall - which to enter you had to send me your 'love' story and a photograph of yourselves. Andrew and Laura entered the competition with hours left to spare and their story captured my heart. To read it click here.
We met again at their engagement session and pretty much after that we became firm friends. It still amazes me now that I've only known you both a year! How is that possible? We've met up countless times, texted about a billion times and I was even there for Laura's hen night!!
Now, I'll be completely honest when I say I was pretty nervous on the morning of their wedding. Let me explain...you know how you're so excited for something and you build it up and build it up? I was worried that I'd get myself so excited that it didn't live up to expectation of the perfect day... I had absolutely nothing to worry about!
It all started at Laura's...
Gorgeous happy Laura
The lovely Amy
Lewis is of the coolest Ushers I've come across - all you had to do was see his dance skills later on in the evening to have this confirmed..tie tied around his head for extra skillage and all! ;)
The dress in on...
If you know Laura, you will know that this is typical Laura
The Men...
Lovely Andrew
Laura and Andrew bought this when they got engaged in Krakow
to hold their rings
Cathy was also a bridesmaid and Laura's sister..I became a skilled camera sniper to get this one as she's particularly camera shy!
her daughter and flowergirl, Katie
This was taken literally seconds before Laura walked down the aisle
I love sneaky looks
Their service was amazing, and I really felt a part of it. Mostly because every time I caught Laura's eyes she either winked, beamed or mouthed 'I'm getting married!!!!!' =)
Laura and Andrew were very specific about making time for their couple shots and to me that is one of the BEST THINGS you can do to your wedding photographer!!
When we visited the Rosspark Hotel together we spotted the perfect tree for pictures underneath - but I really never thought they'd go with it on the day because being in a big white dress changes a lot of ideas! I'm lucky if I can persuade a bride to put down her dress on the ground on a sunny day, never mind a wet, windy autumnal one. Not only did Laura go for it, she did it in style!
See the trees behind Laura in the above picture? Laura and Andrew climbed through that to reach this tree below - then then sat on the leaves for the next few shots!!! Seriously you are amazing!!
A fave =)
Gorgeous!
I wish you both every happiness to the future ahead. You both were amazing and I count myself extremely lucky that you entered the competition and I had the sense to spot an amazing couple!
