LONDON Calling

This is just a brief blog post on where I disappeared to over the past few days! I headed to the very big Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers convention in London last Thursday, which for any photography lovers is the biggest convention in Europe. All the big names in the industry are there to show off their stuff and are there to share their knowledge and advice. I made full use of all of the masterclasses and managed to fit in eight of them before my brain went into overload, but I came home late Sunday evening very inspired and ready to make 2011 the best ever.

While I was there I did have the absolute pleasure to meet one of my favourite photographers on the planet, Khara Plicanic. I have followed Khara's work for a long time and what started as a very simple email a few years ago has turned into a lovely friendship. We had planned to meet on the Friday evening for dinner but the universe had us bumping into each other unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon too! Don't you love it when that happens?!! :) After seeing her in action at one of her two masterclasses at the convention I am so proud to call her and her husband friends. In fact my first wedding of this year was booked (an American wedding in the south of Ireland!) all thanks to her! (more on that in March). If you are a photographer I would SERIOUSLY recommend that you check out www.rockyourworkflow.com it will change your life!

I had one day to unscramble my head from the trip and put everything together for a very big shoot I had planned yesterday. I CANNOT WAIT to show you the results from that but until then here is a sneaky peek!
