Isn't it said that you're supposed to act on inspired thought? I don't entirely remember how but when I came across the Belfast Studio Rental one day in early December I contacted Janine and said that we just *had* to hire it for a day and shoot something. We could share the space, assist each others shoots and shoot entirely for ourselves. Wouldn't that be amazing?? I was like a dog who wouldn't let go of a bone. We decided upon January and that would kick off the start of the year on a lovely photographic high. We booked the space and it was a date in the diary.
It was only after Christmas that the enormity of the project sank in. Not only was I hiring a studio in the company of a very talented photographer but I was going to have to ask professionals to believe in my idea and get them on board to help me create the look I wanted. This is the bit that blows me away, because it happened. Dyanne, Deborah and Chloe, you will have no idea just how honored I am that you believed in me and came onboard. Seriously. I can't thank you enough. I am the most critical of my own work. There are times I still expect to be tapped on the shoulder and to be told I shouldn't be anywhere near a camera never mind take pictures with one. And to see what came from yesterday just blows me away.
Janine and I had originally planned to assist each others shoots, but usually as what happens to the best of plans it didn't happen but you should see what Janine shot! Wow. We shot in the exact same space so it is so cool to see two photographers work with the same conditions and yet come away with entirely different shoots. Janine, right now, I am mighty proud of us ;)

I am so overwhelmed with the response from the shoot on my facebook. It truly blows me away. Thank you to everyone involved for taking the leap with me. I will truly never forget it. xo
