Claudia

I remember very well what I was like at 14. I was excrutiatingly shy, I had train track braces on my very big teeth, my fringe had the mortifying habit of sticking up and out (before there were straighteners) and I had mastered the fine art of blending into the background. I clearly remember having my school photo taken at this age and the photographer barked at me to smile, which I then did. When he saw my braces he then rudely told me to keep my mouth shut. I heard the queue of other girls waiting in line laughing at the remark and that was the moment I knew I hated having my picture taken. Even seeing that school photo (on the rare occassions I come across it in it's well hidden box) it makes me feel sick at the memory.

Which is why I will do everything to make sure that having your photo taken in my company is as pain free as possible. No matter what age you are. Which is why I'm so delighted to show these photos I took yesterday afternoon of Claudia.

Claudia's mum decided to book her a session for a birthday treat and I could tell when I arrived how nervous Claudia was. But wow, if you have ever wanted to witness a person's confidence grow in front of a camera, take a look at these :)

Saving my favourite photo to the last. Claudia, you were such a pleasure to photograph

When Cara, Claudia's younger sister heard there was a photo shoot going on in her own back garden, she had to get in for a few too :)

Thank you for such a lovely afternoon xo
