Here's some of the reasons why.
I was photographing Ross and Caroline's wedding over the weekend (to all you sneaky peek followers you'll have to wait a few weeks to see them until Ross and Caroline return from their amazing honeymoon) and there were a number of things that hit me. The night before the wedding we had all gathered at the hotel to see each other and I ran over to say a quick hello to Ross's mum Helen. She introduced me to her friends as Ross's childhood friend and also his wedding photographer. To be introduced as his friend first was one of the nicest things she could have said. I have known Ross for as long as I can remember. He is genuinely one of the nicest guys that you will ever meet. Caroline and Ross have been together over 7 years and we have a lot of the same friends. When I say this group of friends is a die-hard bunch they'll know exactly what I mean. For a lot of years we've been scattered all over the place and yet we will still do everything to make it back together for all the important pieces of each others lives, especially christmas eve where we always make it back to the small pub on the pier for drinks before midnight. And everytime it's like they've never been away. I'm happy to say that over the past year more and more are returning (and soon to be returning) back home and we're all getting rather giddy at the thought.
In attendance at this wedding were two of last years bride and grooms Jen and Bob and Lara and Craig and also my lovely next year couple Katie and Johnny (so excited!). I had really intended to get a snap with you and me all together with Ross and Caroline but it wasn't to be but I am so delighted to have been in each of your companies xo
Not only that but amongst the moments and chats throughout the weekend I had been complimented by friends who hadn't seen me in a while at how happy I'd looked in pics that were popping up on my facebook page lately. So while it only occurred to me that I was 'proper happy' this morning, looks like I've been happy for quite some time :)
What is a post without a picture and while I know this picture was snapped at the weekend, it does not contain either bride or groom so in my eyes it's not a sneaky peek. It is however a classic moment of my friends who had grabbed each other in a circle and were dancing to New York, New York and it captures in essence how I feel whenever I see them. Love you loads xox
